I warned y’all—pumpkin everything, all the time.
The good news is, it’s officially fall, so no one can say it’s too early for it.
I seem to always want to create things on Sundays. Part of that is just our cozy Sunday routine, and part of it could be that we haven’t found a church the entire time we have lived here, and since I experience so much of God in the kitchen, I find myself seeking Him there on Sundays and having my own little church.
Today I created a fun breakfast for my husband, then came up with an awesome new baked good (to be shared later this week), and then a yummy pumpkin smoothie to fuel us for lunch after a great workout.
I couldn’t decided what to share, but I promised y’all an overload of pumpkin, so the smoothie won.
This smoothie is incredibly delicious, incredibly simple, and incredibly quick.
Oh, and the added bonus is that my husband loved it and it totally filled him up—which is always considered success in my book.
You can make adjustments to it as you see fit, but the recipe below is a good general guideline for amounts!
Enjoy!

Creamy Pumpkin Smoothie
Here's What You Need
- 1 medium banana
- 1 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 packet stevia
- 1 1/4 c almond milk (or other)
- 1/2 c plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 c whole rolled oats
- 1 c pumpkin purée
- 1/2 honeycrisp apple
- 1 c ice cubes (7-10 cubes)
Here's What You Do
-
It doesn’t get much easier! Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy. Add more ice or use less to get desired thickness and temperature. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
- Sometimes I leave out the Greek yogurt, and sometimes I leave out the oats—but I always use at least one or the other, and leaving one out will definitely affect the overall creaminess. Also, feel free to use another type of milk, we just don’t use whole milk in our house!
